What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding to support more than 400,000 Australians living with significant permanent or life-long disability. There are a wide range of funded supports and services, all designed to improve the confidence and independence of each NDIS participant. Who is eligible for the NDIS?
The NDIS provides funding support if a person:
• is an Australian citizen / permanent resident
• is under 65 years of age
• have a diagnosed permanent disability or a developmental delay (for children 7 years old and younger)
• the disability significantly impacts their daily life and may require assistance from allied health therapists, carers or assistive equipment to do everyday things
